animal prints

This evening I stumbled across The Animal Print Shop by Sharon Montrose and I fell in love.  This was a surprise for me, cause to be honest I'm not usually into any sort of clothing or art that indirectly or directly features animals.  But something about the simplicity of these prints caught me.  They are having a sale on the open editions until Dec 10th.  So jump on it!

I showed them to B, and he said he would like them more if the animals were doing something funny.  To that, I showed him one of my favorites, the Baby Monkey No. 1.

Unfortunately B responded, "It'd be funnier if he was picking his butt, or peeing, or something." After some tugging though he began to see the interest in them.  I think they would look lovely in a grouping, or one whose color worked well in a room printed large and hung alone.  The obvious thing to do would be to use a grouping of the baby animals in a child's room or nursery.  But, these are so modern they really would work in a number of settings.

After much thought I think these (and of course the baby monkey above) are my favorite.  The baby deer, the sheep,  and the fox no. 1.   OH- but I also love the colors of the flamingo, and the macaw, and I think the close ups are so great too, AND I LOVE the porcupine, and the reindeer!  Really- there are SO many options depending on the needs of your space.

Despite the sale, I am still too poor to afford new things for the home at this time.  But I will be saving this idea for the future.

 Until Then,

I love you.
