Spoiler alert: Blue Valentine was depressing.
Okay. Okay.
It was a very well done, well acted film and I would recommend it as a better piece of cinema then most of the crap that gets in theaters these days. I would also remember that cinema is art, and not all art makes you feel good, it just provkes a response. Blue Valentine indeed provoked a response in me.
Lately I just prefer the type of film that leaves me feeling less depressed then I was when I walked in the theater.
I'm going to try and see The King's Speech this week, and hope it does the trick. I'll let you know how it goes.
