flashback friday: winter 2003

This week, we're introducing a new weekly feature...FLASHBACK FRIDAY!  Every Friday we'll select some random old photos off the computer to share.  It will most likely result in plenty of internet embarrassment for us, which is hopefully entertaining for you.

This week I was inspired by our beloved Northeast, which was hammered with yet another blizzard!  This is now two consecutive winters (so far our ONLY two winters away) we have missed awesome epic snowstorms!

My facebook newsfeed is full of messages, photos, and videos of the snow- I'm so jealous!   I was inspired to remember my own snow memories since I can't make any new ones right now.

These photos are from the winter of 2003.  B and I are a young, and fresh 18 years old.  We had only been dating a handful of months at this point.  At the time I was living in Philadelphia, and he was still living with his parents in MD.  I came down to visit one weekend, and was "trapped" at his house when the snowstorm hit.  I phoned my parents and told them I just HAD to spend the night because it was TOO dangerous on the roads.  They didn't want me to get in an accident, right?  Boy, had they heard that one before! But they of course agreed, I just HAD to stay the night.
Eventually we had to venture to my parents house, which is about a 30 minute drive in normal weather.  What follwed was a lovely time admiring the snow, getting stuck in the snow, getting shoveled out of the snow, and an all around young love good time.  Because it was such a manly venture we dubbed it "the man trek."  Aren't we just the most adorable little 18 year olds in love you ever have seen?

What is your favorite snow memory?  Please share.

Until Then

I love you.
