flashback friday: sentimental

I've felt kind of sentimental this week.  Perhaps having my brain reach maximum overload after WPPI, combined with a February where quality BE time was hard to find sent my mind back to a happy place.  So, when I went looking for a flashback Friday photograph I went straight to one of the sappiest of them all. 

     Internet, this is the VERY FIRST photograph taken of BE! EVER!  It's really a lie, because this is a cropped photograph.  Our good friend J was on my other side, but is cropped out in this version.  So really my smile is due not only because the boy I had a crush on is leaning so close to me, but REALLY it is because I am sandwiched between the boy I had a crush on, and the boy I used to have a crush on!  I think I look pretty pleased with myself.

     This was taken in August of 2002.  It is a very memorable night in my life for many reasons.  It was the end of the summer before college, and it was one of the last big hang outs before everyone started to separate for college.  To say the least, it was an epic night.  This was also the night my dear friend N.E.S. leaned over and whispered to me, "B thinks you're cute."  N.E.S. played a crucial role in getting us together, and continues to play an important role in our life! Wow. I suddenly miss her so much I want to cry.
