Late last year I was introduced to the day zero project by the Peach & Pearl blog. I loved the idea, and it seemed like the right timing for such a project. I like lists, and I like having tools to motivate and challenge me. I also like that this project is longer then a year, so it gives you time to breath. I was going to start on January 1, 2011, but we know I was not ready for 2011 then. So, I set out to begin on February 1, 2011. AND I did- with the launching of my new photo website (#32).
I hope you will enjoy following along with this project. I hope to post most of them completed, if not a summary each month. I'm hoping to pick out a few to accomplish each month.
This month, February 2011, I hope to accomplish:
1. Buy a Car (DONE! 2-4-11)
5. Read One Book Every Month (0/ 34)
32. Launch a website (DONE! 2-1-11)
34. Go to WPPI
58. Learn how to drive a manual transmission
74. Make a necklace I like and wear it
79. Write and mail a letter every month (0/34)
100. Make a Budget.
That seems like a crazy ambitious first month for me, but most of it is because I know most of those things will happen (two already did!) because they are already planned, in the works, or just something that has to get done for practical reasons.
Here's the FULL LIST:
Start Date: February 1, 2011

Until Then.
I love you.
# 7 is on my to do for the new year! but mine is Ireland!
ReplyDeleteI know! I think I'm eligible for either, so I'm going to look into it further and pick one or the other. I need to find someone who knows about it to help. The website resources so far are hard to understand. If you find any more info on it, please pass it along.
ReplyDeleteI adore this list. I adore you. AND I adore everything about your new site/blog. I didn't even "skim" ...I read every last one, and I'm inspired to write my own! I love the theme of handwritten notes -- that was one of my most important personal "goals" for the year. I blocked off an hour every Friday to write to people I love. I probably made that too broad for myself. :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAhhh! This was very inspiring. You are one of the most inspirational people in my life. <3
ReplyDelete1. I love that you have censored ones. Hehe.
2. Share your grease-car knowledge with me and Bill. We will have to get a car in a year or so, and it would be wonderful to do that whole thing.
Elizabeth- I love this list! When you have plans to complete #14 let me know, I'm not far from Chicago at all!
ReplyDeleteThanks All!
ReplyDeleteSam- write me!
M- yes the censored ones are naughty ; ) but I'll tell them to you in secret some time.
Meghan- YES! OF COURSE!
Chicago is totally on my list! Maybe we can meet there :)
ReplyDeleteThe dentist is also on my list, but we should not meet there.
the websites are really confusing.. thankfully my hip wine drinking aunt already has her Irish passport and citizenship!
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know a few secrets when I learn them!
You know #7 would have been a lot easier before you turned 18. : )
ReplyDeleteNice list, I might make one
